Paper Pilgrim

At last, four months after my return from a memorable trip to Japan, the way seems relatively clear to start the blog I promised before leaving in mid November. I’ve started up a new blog for this and here is the link: Paper Pilgrim
I’ve now installed a new ‘follow via email’ button in the sidebar on the right hand side of this page: this is for following this blog. If you wish to follow the Paper Pilgrim blog, click on the volcano image which will take you to that blog, and use the ‘follow’ facility on the right hand side of the Paper Pilgrim main page.

I hope that covers all eventualities! I know some people have been having difficulties with signing up to follow….

  1. Hi Bron, I think that that ‘follow’ thing means the post turns up in your ‘reader’ but it doesn’t get emailed to you. There is, however, a widget that you can put on your page that says something like ‘Follow my blog’ and has a bit where people type their email and add themselves to your email list.
If you have not seen the widgets before, go to your dashboard, then, down the left hand menu go to ‘apearence’ and ‘widgets’. You’ll see a list of useful and not-so-useful widgets in the main part of the page. Depending on what theme you are using, there are areas on your blog where you can put them. To put them on your blog, just drag-and-drop a widget from the main list over to the right hand area on the widgets page, which will be a list of the places you can put the widgets. It’s worth having a play with the widgets if you have not already, because some of them can be handy. The ‘Follow Blog’ is the one you want in this case. You can re-arrange them with other default widgets that you might have, and get rid of things you don’t want – just drag them over to the main pile of widgets.
Hope that helps! If it doesn’t make sense, give me a call, when you have your computer in front of you…
