We are having a ‘Meet the Artist’ event in conjunction with our exhibition Printmaking and Process, this Saturday 7th November, from 1 – 3 pm. We are showing in the lovely spacious galleries at Sidcot School Arts Centre, just off the A 38 south of Churchill. I’m showing my work from the Mendip Quarries: You are Here, which were in the Round Tower at Black Swan Arts until recently,
the plates themselves, which were installed in Westdown/Asham quarry until recently
and the Fairy Cave Quarry Map
In other words, you can see the work without going to the quarries (though the quarries themselves were stunning).
I’m also showing some of my Syncopations etchings and bits of the exhibition, including the video, that I exhibited in the Philips Gallery at the Brewhouse over 10 years ago (still relevant, to me, anyway, and I hope to others too).
Also work by Pennie Elfick, Tony Martin, Gail Mason and Elizabeth Bird. It promises to be an interesting exhibition, and it’s worthwhile visiting the space where there is lots going on, now and in the future.
